Malaysia urged to recruit more Bangladeshi manpower

Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan urged Malaysia to recruit more Bangladeshi manpower for betterment of the two countries, reports UNB.
He made the request when the newly appointed High Commissioner for Malaysia to Bangladesh, Abdul Malek Bin Abdul Aziz, paid a courtesy call on the Foreign Minister at his office Wednesday.
“There is enormous scope for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of trade, investment and manpower,” the foreign minister said.
He mentioned that trade figures are not up to the mark, which could be enhanced further.
“Bangladesh and Malaysia are two brotherly countries,” said the Foreign Minister, adding that there are historical ties and shared culture between the two countries for a long time.
The Foreign Minister said Bangladeshi workers are law- abiding, hardworking and sincere. “Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia are contributing a lot for the economies of both the countries.”
The Malaysian envoy assured of further strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
He expressed gratitude to the Foreign Minister for warmly receiving him and for his assurance of cooperation.
